WHAT IS IT LIKE TO HAVE DYSLEXIA?
Experience Dyslexia®, developed by the Northern California Branch of IDA, is a dyslexia simulation workshop. Lakes and Bridges is pleased to present this
workshop to the community. The simulation is a hands-on experience that lets
participants experience some of the challenges and frustrations that people with dyslexia face each day. The simulation provides a lively, thought-provoking
experience for those interested in better understanding the person with dyslexia.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SIMULATION?
The workshop consists of learning stations that simulate different language-related learning tasks encountered in the classroom or workplace. The facilitators will guide participants through each activity, followed by a brief discussion. When all participants have completed the activities, there will be a general debriefing. The entire workshop lasts approximately 2 hours, depending on discussion time.
